How granite slabs are made
Granite slabs are made from large stone blocks quarried and quarried. For the production of slab, the stone block is carefully cut into sheets 20 or 30 mm thick with special circular or cable abrasive saws. Then the slabs are moved for further processing - grinding and leveling the edges to standard sizes. Grinding the slabs is necessary to make the stone shine and reveal the pattern (texture) of the stone.
Also, during processing, some types of stone slabs are strengthened with reinforcing materials on the one hand, this is done in order to give strength to fragile rocks that can crack or split during processing or transportation. A granite block that is cut into slabs and ready for transportation is called a bundle.
