In production, a mixture of crushed vein quartz of various fractions with an admixture of quartz powder filling the microvoids is used. Quartz is mined in Turkey, China, India, Israel and Russia. Depending on the desired effect, the required purity and fraction of quartz chips or a combination thereof are used. Polyester resins, possessing elasticity, add resistance to bending and shock loads to quartz stone.
